About the Event

In this lecture hosted by the Department of Diagnostic Medicine, Elena Zannoni, Ph.D., presents “‘See What You Treat and Treat What You See:’ The Physics and Imaging of Targeted Alpha Therapies.”

Zannoni is an assistant professor in the Walker Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Cockrell School of Engineering. She holds a courtesy appointment in the Department of Diagnostic Medicine at the Dell Medical School.

By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:

  1. Determine the role that imaging plays in achieving the ‘see what you treat and treat what you see’ paradigm in radiotheranostics.
  2. List cutting-edge instrumentation and methodologies being developed for imaging and monitoring targeted alpha therapies.
  3. Gain insight into the challenges and recent advancements made in imaging for targeted radiopharmaceutical therapies.
