About the Event
In this installment of Pediatric Grand Rounds, David S. Cooper, M.D., MPH, MBA, presents “Hunger (It’s Not All Fun and) Games: Nutrition Considerations in Congenital Heart Disease.” Cooper is a professor of pediatrics at the University of Cincinnati. He is also the Heart Institute safety officer and associate medical director of the CICU at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Learning Objectives:
- Describe the nutritional challenges in patients with congenital heart disease (CHD).
- Formulate a treatment plan for CHD patients with feeding intolerance.
- Define how nutrition impacts outcomes in patients with single ventricle physiology.
- Compare the impact of an exclusively human milk diet vs cow’s milk diet.
