About the Event

In this installment of the Orthopaedic Surgery Visiting Professor Lecture series, Alex Vaccaro, M.D., Ph.D., MBA, presents “Current Concepts and Controversies in Spine Trauma.” Vaccaro is the president for Rothman Orthopaedics at Jefferson Health. He is the Richard H. Rothman Professor in Orthopaedic Surgery and Chairman for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery for Thomas Jefferson University’s Sidney Kimmel Medical College.

By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:

  1. Be aware of the most recent advancements in the diagnosis and management of spinal conditions.
  2. Identify the most common spinal conditions and their initial management.
  3. Articulate the problem in operative vs. non-operative management of spine trauma.
