About the Event
In this installment of Neurosurgery Grand Rounds, Jon Willie, M.D., Ph.D., presents “Changing Minds: Neurosurgery and the Amygdala.” Willie is an associate professor of neurosurgery, biomedical engineering, psychiatry, neuroscience and neurology at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. He is also the director of stereotactic, functional and epilepsy neurosurgery.

Objectives
By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:
- Distinguish the semiology of medial temporal lobe epilepsy.
- Consider the impact of epilepsy surgery upon psychological disorders.
- Assess amygdala-based targeting for PTSD.
