About the Event
In this installment of Neurosurgery Grand Rounds, Juan Ortega-Barnett, M.D., presents “Applied Learning Theories With Artificial Intelligence and Simulation in Neurosurgery Training.” Ortega-Barnett is an associate professor in the Department of Neurosurgery at Dell Medical School.

Objectives
By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:
- Enumerate the basic methods of learning.
- Distinguish between the types of memory and improved recall.
- Comprehend how to apply virtual reality and simulation in neurosurgical training.
- Construct a curriculum in neurosurgical training that would include applied artificial intelligence.
- Formulate objective evaluations of neurosurgical resident knowledge and surgical skills.

- Primary: Neurosurgeons, neurologist and other medical specialties
- Secondary: Nursing staff, residents, students and allied health professions
