Objectives
By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:
- Discuss how diet can provide an acid challenge to acid-base homeostasis, that is, cause acid stress.
- Recognize effects of a dietary acid challenge to kidney health.
- Identify the best dietary acid reduction strategy to promote both kidney and cardiovascular health.
