Pinto, Ph.D., MSW, presents “Holistic and Artistic Methods for Healing COVID-19 Illness and Social Determinants of Health.” Pinto is an associate dean for research and innovation and a professor at the University of Michigan School of Social Work.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this presentation, the audience participant should be able to:

  1. Identify structural and individual level sources of COVID-19 illness and social determinants of health
  2. Describe how health and social services have been disrupted due to the COVID-19 pandemic
  3. Describe the role of social work leadership (practice and research) in the ongoing COVID-19 era
  4. Discover the potential of visual and performing arts for self-healing and for activism
