Please join the Department of Medical Education for the next in the series of "Extraordinary Learning and Teaching in the Ambulatory Setting." This week's faculty development workshop is titled “Promoting Mindfulness and Reflective Practice” and is presented by Carrie Barron, Director of the Creativity for Resilience Program, Assistant Professor, Psychiatry.
Open to all Dell Med faculty, the workshop meets every Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. with the goal of exploring strategies for teaching in the outpatient setting through peer-to-peer discussion stimulated by personal experience, case studies, simulations, videos and evidence from the medical education literature. Unless medical students are specifically named in the workshop title, the sessions are relevant to both medical student and resident education. Participation may be counted towards a Dell Med School Certificate in Clinical Education. The certificate requires 24 hours of faculty development.
