About the Event

Dell Medical School’s Center for Health and Environment: Education and Research (CHEER) and Medical Students Environmental Health Interest Group invite you to hear Lydia Contreras, Ph.D., as she presents “Molecular Effects of Air Pollution on Airway Epithelial CellsEndocrine-Disrupting Chemicals and the Brain.” Contreras is an associate professor in the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering whose research combines biomolecular engineering, genetic studies and computational modeling to understand molecular features that lead to the specific recognition and interaction of RNAs and proteins. She is also a CHEER Steering Committee member.
