Applications to the Obstetrics and Gynecology Residency at Dell Medical School are accepted through the Electronic Residency Application Service beginning Sept. 29 and are reviewed on a rolling basis. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents. Only J-1 visas will be considered for sponsorship.

In addition, applicants must:

  • Have a passing score on the United States Medical Licensing Examination Steps I and II on the first attempt.
  • Have a medical degree from a Liaison Committee on Medical Education-accredited institution (or otherwise listed with the Texas Medical Board as an institution with “substantial equivalence”) within the last four years.
  • Be eligible for a Texas license upon the completion of residency.

Interviews are offered in concordance with guidelines from the Association of Professors of Gynecology and Obstetrics and the Council on Resident Education in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and are scheduled October through January. Interviews for the 2022-2023 year will be virtual.
