About

Victoria I. Felkl, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Dell Medical School. Felkl provides consultation services for the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine and Child Psychiatry Access Network programs, as well as the pediatrics sub-specialty clinics at Dell Children’s Hospital.

She previously worked at the Mental Health Center of Greater Manchester in Manchester, New Hampshire, as an outpatient child and adolescent psychiatrist. She collaborated regularly with pediatricians at Dartmouth Hitchcock Health and worked with the Rapid Response Team at Elliot Hospital and Catholic Medical Center. She earned her medical degree at Universidad Dr. Jose Matias Delgado in El Salvador. She completed a psychiatry residency at LAC+USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, California, and pursued a child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship and served as a chief fellow at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California.

Felkl has several special interests that include perinatal mental health, autism and obsessive-compulsive disorder. She rotated at the UCLA Child and Adult Neurodevelopmental Clinic, as well as the Childhood OCD, Anxiety and Tic Disorders Program at the Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior. She is also an adolescent certified provider for the Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relationship Skills, and she is renowned for providing evidence-based social skills treatment to preschoolers, adolescents and young adults with autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit/hyperactivity disorder, anxiety, depression and other socio-emotional problems.
