Sohan Parekh, M.D., RDMS

Sohan Parekh is a affiliate faculty for the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care and a director of ultrasound education for emergency medicine. He has been a faculty member since 2008. His academic interests include ultrasound, critical care, airway management and health policy.

He hails from Texas and first came to Austin as a university student in electrical and computer engineering. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he worked as a software engineer in Austin prior to starting his medical education. He graduated from University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and completed residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine.
