About
Simon Michael, M.D., Ph.D., is an affiliate faculty member in the Department of Pediatrics at Dell Medical School. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Emory University and attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia, where he also earned his Ph.D. in cellular and molecular biology. Michael completed his residency in pediatrics and his fellowship in neonatology at Boston’s Children’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Michael’s clinical expertise is in long-term and transitional management of BPD and other causes of respiratory failure. His academic interests include, pulmonary hypertension, ethics and care approaches to chronic and severe illnesses, molecular approaches to the treatment of genetic disorders and cystic fibrosis. In his free time Michael enjoys fly fishing, traveling in his Airstream, bird-watching, woodworking and listening to music.
