Sanyukta Desai, M.D.

Sanyukta Desai completed a pediatric hospital medicine fellowship at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center and a master’s degree in clinical and translational research as part of her fellowship training. In addition to her faculty appointment, she serves as an assistant program director within Dell Medical School’s Pediatric Hospital Medicine Fellowship and is pediatric hospitalist at Dell Children’s Medical Center

Desai’s areas of interest are improving the quality of pediatric care delivered at non-children’s hospitals using large datasets as well as quality improvement science. Specifically, she aims to optimize pediatric interfacility transfers in partnership with health care coalitions to improve surge and disaster preparedness in Central Texas. At Dell Children’s, she co-leads the longitudinal quality improvement curriculum for residents and fellows. She enjoys mentoring fellows, specifically in designing their scholarly projects and career development.
