About
Renu Anupindi is a child and adolescent psychiatrist who has been practicing in the Austin area since 2006. Anupindi has completed her general psychiatry training and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship through Ascension Seton, Austin Medical Education Program.
Her clinical experience includes working with children and adolescents with a wide range of psychopathology including anxiety disorders, mood disorders and neurodevelopmental disorders. She is also well-versed in the clinical and psychosocial challenges encountered in the treatment and management of foster care children.
Anupindi is actively involved in the medical and psychiatric communities at the local and national levels. She currently serves as a consultant to the Medical Legislation Committee of Travis County Medical Society. She has been honored by the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) with its Distinguished Fellow Award, the highest membership status of the organization, for her outstanding contribution to both AACAP and the field of child psychiatry.
Since her graduation in 2006, she has stayed involved in teaching and supervision of general and child psychiatry residents as affiliate faculty at the Austin Medical Education Program of Ascension Seton, University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and UT Southwestern Austin Psychiatry Residency Program.
Outside of work, Anupindi enjoys spending her time doing yoga, learning Indian classical music, reading literature from all around the world and traveling.
