About

Paiman Ghafoori, M.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Women’s Health and Department of Oncology at Dell Medical School and practices at Austin Cancer Center as a radiation oncologist.

Ghafoori completed his medical degree at Harvard University and went on to complete his residency in radiation oncology at Duke University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident and later as an assistant professor.

Ghafoori has received numerous awards and research grants from national institutions including the National Institutes of Health, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Radiological Society of North America. He currently serves on a national expert panel for radiation oncology and is involved in a variety of clinical trials in oncology. He has many peer-reviewed publications about oncology, and he is board-certified in radiation oncology.
