About

Nasim Hedayati, M.D., FACS, graduated from Rosalind Franklin University Chicago Medical School in 1998. She completed her general surgery residency at Case Western Reserve University in 2005 and her vascular surgery fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in 2007.

Hedayati’s practice is focused on all aspects of vascular disease, including treatment of peripheral arterial disease, venous disease and varicose veins, diabetic foot wounds, abdominal aortic aneurysm, carotid artery disease and dialysis access. She uses the latest office-based noninvasive technologies to treat varicose veins and the latest endovascular and open surgical techniques for treatment of peripheral arterial disease, carotid artery disease and abdominal aortic aneurysm. Her research interests have focused on outcomes of peripheral arterial disease, treatment of venous disease and use of stem cell therapies for critical limb ischemia.

Prior to joining Dell Medical School, Hedayati was a professor of surgery at University of California, Davis, where she served as chief of the vascular surgery division at VA Northern California Health Care System and the director of the UC Davis’ vein center.

Hedayati has served on numerous committees of several surgical societies and was on the Vascular Surgery Advisory Board of the Veterans Affairs National Surgery Office. She is on editorial board of the Journal of Vascular Surgery:Venous and Lymphatic Disorders and Journal of Vascular Surgery Cases, Innovation and Techniques.
