Miriam Alvarez earned her Ph.D. in general psychology with a concentration in social, cognitive neuroscience and a graduate certificate in quantitative research methods from The University of Texas at El Paso. Alvarez’s research experience ranges from developing experiments in a laboratory to executing public health evaluations.
She has applied a wide array of research methodologies, research designs, data collection procedures and statistical analyses to her work. She is passionate about conducting rigorous research, working with data and finding the best way to communicate science to diverse audiences in a way that positively impacts people’s lives.
