Michael Y. Liu, M.D.

About

Michael Liu, M.D., is the medical director of acute care cardiology in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a collaboration between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin, the clinical practice of Dell Medical School.

Liu specializes in fetal cardiology and non-invasive cardiac imaging (transthoracic and transesophageal imaging) in addition to inpatient cardiac care. His passion and goal is to provide high-quality, individualized care to each of his patients.

Liu earned his bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and his medical degree from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. He completed a residency in pediatrics at USCF Benioff Children’s Hospital Oakland and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

Liu is actively involved in quality assurance at Dell Children’s Medical Center. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a fellow of the American College of Cardiology.
