Michael Josephs, M.D., FACS

About

Michael Josephs is a affiliate faculty for the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care. He grew up in western Maryland, where he attended Mount Saint Mary’s University. He received a master’s degree in physiology prior to enrolling in medical school at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. He then completed his general surgery residency at the University of Florida. His pediatric surgery fellowship was completed at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Ohio. He is board certified in pediatric surgery and general surgery.

Josephs played an integral role in the design of the Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas. His surgical interests include advanced minimally invasive surgery, neonatal thoracic and gastrointestinal diseases, and pediatric tumors. He is a member of the American Pediatric Surgical Association, the American College of Surgeons, the International Endosurgery Group, the Texas Medical Association and the Travis County Medical Society.
