About
Meghal Mehta, M.D., is a affiliate faculty in the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care.
Mehta was born in Kenya and moved to San Antonio, Texas, in middle school. After graduating from The University of Texas at Austin, she went to Baylor College of Medicine. She completed an emergency medicine residency at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Afterward, she hightailed it back to Austin and joined the emergency medicine group at Ascension Seton in 2005. Her interests include geriatric medicine and residency education.
Mehta enjoys living in Austin with her husband, Andre, and two sons, Avi and Ashrit. She loves to travel, explore new restaurants around town and be lazy on her days off.
