About
Masahiro Ono, M.D., is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon with the Institute for Cardiovascular Health, a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin. Ono has an interest in using a multidisciplinary approach and cutting-edge techniques to help patients with complex cardiovascular diagnoses. He strives to provide compassionate and comprehensive care for his patients.
Ono earned his medical degree and Ph.D. at Showa University School of Medicine, where he also completed his internship, residency and fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery. He completed an additional three fellowships at Johns Hopkins and the Texas Heart Institute.
Ono holds memberships in the Japanese Surgical Society, the Japanese Association for Thoracic Surgery, the Japanese Society for Cardiovascular Surgery, the International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, and The Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
