About

Mark Queralt is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and received his medical degree from UT Southwestern . For more than two decades, Queralt has specialized in the treatment of spinal pain and injuries. He completed his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at UT Southwestern and attained a subspecialty in pain medicine from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Queralt is also a member of the North American Spine Society and the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

As a physician, Queralt says he was drawn to the unique challenge of spinal pain and injury. “Unlike other conditions with more defined treatments, options for pain are diverse, and opinions vary,” Queralt says. “My goal is to educate patients so they can comfortably participate in the decision process. Together, we are able to design a treatment plan that is unique to their individual needs.”

After spending many years in private practice around Central Texas, Queralt came to UT Health Austin for the opportunity to create a world-class spine program. As the clinical leader of the back and neck pain program, Queralt is a part of many different care teams including the Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences and the Musculoskeletal Institute.
