About
Kevin Wilcox, D.O., is a practicing board-certified emergency medicine physician. Within Dell Medical School, Wilcox serves as the curriculum director for the emergency residency residency program in addition to serving as the assistant medical director for Dell Seton Emergency Department.
He earned his D.O. from the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine and a B.S. in neurobiology from The University of Texas at Austin and is currently pursuing an M.Ed. in health professions at Johns Hopkins University. Wilcox completed his residency at Dell Medical School and a fellowship at John Peter Smith Hospital, where he also served as assistant professor and co-director of medical simulation.
He has received multiple honors for excellence in education and clinical care, including Dell Medical School’s GME Clinical Learning Award, Academic Resident of the Year and KYCOM’s Student Doctor of the Year. A member of ACEP and TCEP, Wilcox contributes nationally as a faculty teaching fellow and leads simulation-based education and curriculum development. His scholarly work includes invited national presentations and publications focused on emergency medicine education, clinical innovation and learner development.
