About
Katherine Kohls, M.D., is a board-certified anesthesiologist with a special interest in obstetric anesthesia in the Comprehensive Fetal Care Center, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center of Central Texas and UT Health Austin. She specializes in administering anesthesia for pregnant mothers undergoing complex fetal surgery. Additionally, Kohls is an affiliate faculty member in the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care at Dell Medical School.
Kohls earned her medical degree from the Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio. She completed a residency in anesthesiology at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She served as chief resident during her final year in San Antonio and transitioned into private practice with Capitol Anesthesiology Association in 2012. Since then, she has participated in multiple clinical and quality committees in obstetrics and beyond. She is currently an affiliate faculty member with Dell Med and Texas A&M School of Medicine. Kohls also serves on the Central Texas Clinical Governance Board for USAP, Clinical Quality Committee, CRNA Advisory Committee and as assistant chief of anesthesia at Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin.
