About

Katherine E. Simon was born and raised in South Texas. She completed her undergraduate degree at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, and her medical degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Simon then moved to New Orleans to complete her pediatric residency. After one year of neonatal perinatal fellowship training at UT Houston, she transferred to the University of Washington and completed her fellowship there. Simon’s clinical interests include neonatal nutrition and perinatal loss.

She is married to David Simon, who is a pediatric nephrologist. They moved to Austin in 2006 and have two daughters.
