Jennifer Travieso, M.D., FACOG

Jenny Travieso, MD, FACOG, is a fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon in Women’s Health, a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Medicine. She specializes in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery for conditions such as endometriosis, fibroids, ovarian cysts, adenomyosis, and other complex gynecologic disorders. Additionally, Dr. Travieso is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Women’s Health at The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Travieso earned her bachelor’s degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and a fellowship in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery at Michigan Medicine.

Dr. Travieso’s research focuses on optimizing of perioperative management in benign gynecologic surgery, pelvic pain, and endometriosis. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed manuscripts on the use of robotics in benign gynecologic surgery and presented at national meetings. She is an active member of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the International Pelvic Pain Society, and the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.
