About
Jennifer Summers is an affiliate faculty in the Department of Women’s Health at Dell Medical School. She graduated cum laude from The University of Texas in Austin with a Bachelor of Science in human development and family sciences. She completed medical school at UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. While there, she was awarded membership into Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society.
Summers completed her residency training at UT Southwestern, where she received multiple awards — including intern of the year, excellence in medical student teaching and excellence in gynecologic surgery — and she served as administrative chief resident during her fourth year.
Summers completed an additional year of training in a gynecologic advanced pelvic and robotic fellowship, where she gained additional experience in complex pelvic surgeries and minimally invasive techniques including the Da Vinci robotic system. Her focus of care is on both general obstetrics, including high-risk pregnancies, and gynecology in private practice with Women Partners in Health. She is board-certified and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.
She and her husband, Zach, recently welcomed the arrival of their first child, who was cared for by the docs at Women Partners in Health and delivered at Ascension Seton. They love being in Austin and enjoy time with their son and their dog, Blue.
