About
Jennifer Nordhauser, M.D., is an Austin native who is excited to serve her community as a member for the Family Medicine Residency program. She is graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, where she completed degrees in biomedical engineering and art history.
Bringing the creative and technical disciplines together remained a priority for Nordhauser during medical school at the Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio, where she was a student facilitator for the Music and Medicine interdisciplinary elective. She also focused on serving underserved populations in rural Las Cruces, New Mexico, and at the New Mexico-Mexico border, where she completed her residency in family medicine. She then completed her palliative medicine fellowship at Dell Med. She continues to serve the hospice and palliative needs of Austin through her work with Hospice Austin.
As a faculty member, she focuses on graduate medical education curricular development in palliative medicine, quality improvement education and process development, and patient and physician advocacy through organized medicine.
