About
Jennifer Cavin, M.D., is a Virginia native. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Christopher Newport University. She went on to complete medical school at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, where her long-term involvement in leadership with the HOPES student-run free clinic earned her the Lloyd Damsey Memorial Award for service to the community.
She completed her residency at the Eastern Virginia Medical School Portsmouth Family Medicine Residency program, where she was elected chief resident by her peers. She also received recognition in an advocacy award for her continued involvement with the student-run free clinic during her residency tenure. Currently, she is working on her master’s degree in public health and is completing a leadership fellowship with the Society of Teacher’s of Family Medicine.
Outside of medicine, Cavin enjoys running, playing board games, spending time with her many beloved dogs and traveling with her partner.
