About

D. Byron Holt, M.D., FSCAI, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist and the chief of pediatric cardiology for the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. He specializes in the interventional catheterization of children and adults with congenital heart disease.

Holt earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Rice University and his medical degree from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. He completed a residency in pediatrics, a fellowship in pediatric cardiology and an advanced fellowship in interventional catheterization at Washington University School of Medicine.

Holt serves as the chief of cardiology at Dell Children’s Medical Center. He also maintains privileges at St. David’s Medical Center, Seton Medical Center, Heart Hospital of Austin and Dell Seton Medical Center at The University of Texas for catheterization of adult patients with congenital heart disease. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Travis County Medical Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
