About
Deborah Bergfeld, M.D., trained at the University at Buffalo School of Medicine with subsequent residency training at Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine and the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago. She has also completed a postgraduate fellowship in sports, spine and occupational medicine. Bergfeld has been involved with Dell Medical School’s physical medicine and rehabilitation residency training program since 2014, including in a leadership capacity.
Bergfeld’s clinical practice for the first 10 years of her career focused predominantly on nonsurgical musculoskeletal care and sports medicine. Her current practice includes oversight of a unique physical medicine and rehabilitation resident continuity clinic and electrodiagnostic clinic.
Bergfeld has been recognized as a “Top Doctor” from Austin Monthly annually since 2020. She has held numerous local and national leadership positions, including the physical medicine and rehabilitation division lead for Ascension Texas, academic committees within the Dell Med and positions within the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Academy of Academic Physiatrists.
