About
Brooke Watanabe, M.D., is a practicing board-certified emergency medicine physician. Originally from Indiana, she completed her undergraduate and medical school training at Indiana University before moving to Austin for residency, where she stayed on as an attending after graduation.
Within Dell Medical School’s Emergency Medicine Residency, Watanabe works to help prepare future emergency medicine physicians for life beyond graduation, with academic interests centering around quality improvement, documentation, efficiency, financial considerations, medicolegal issues and career planning. Beyond her role with the residency, she has administrative experience as an emergency department site quality director and trauma director. She also serves on multiple committees, including the Dell Seton Peer Review and Medical Executive Committee,and the Dell Medical School Faculty Wellness and Engagement Committee.
