Ankur Rana, M.D.

Ankur Rana is a affiliate faculty for the Department of Pediatrics and Surgery and Perioperative Care. He grew up in Columbus, Ohio. He completed a Bachelor of Science/Medical Degree program through the University of Akron and the Northeast Ohio University College of Medicine. He then completed a general surgery residency at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, followed by a surgical critical care fellowship at the University of Michigan.

Rana spent one year at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio, participating in an adolescent bariatric Lap-Band surgery program. His pediatric surgery fellowship was completed at Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York North Shore LIJ Health System. He is board certified in general surgery and pediatric surgery.
