About
Andrew Watrous is an assistant professor in the Department of Neurology. Watrous uses invasive neural recordings in clinical patient populations to understand the electrophysiological basis of human learning, memory and navigation. He received a doctorate in neuroscience in 2013 from The University of California, Davis under the mentorship of Arne Ekstrom and collaborators Charan Ranganath and Andy Yonelinas. He then completed postdoctoral work with Nikolai Axmacher at the Epilepsy Clinic in Bonn, Germany and in Joshua Jacobs’ lab at Columbia University. Watrous started at Dell Medical School in Fall 2018.
