About
Alexander Meagher, M.D., is a native Austinite and graduate of The University of Texas at Austin. He provides family medicine residents exposure to correctional health care.
Meagher completed his medical school in Grenada, which included training in New York City. After leaving Austin for medical school, he returned to complete his family medicine residency, where he served as chief resident in his final year. He now practices at the Travis County Correctional Facility, the county jail that serves Austin. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, UT sports and the great outdoors.
