Impacting Health from Downtown Austin

The Innovation Zone in Downtown Austin.

The nonprofit organization Capital City Innovation, led by Executive Director Chris Laing, is shaping the district and creating pathways for collaboration. Founded through a partnership between Ascension Seton, Central Health and The University of Texas at Austin, Capital City Innovation is part of the community’s vision to develop a health innovation nexus that improves the lives of Central Texans.

All kinds of innovators and groups — from startups to researchers to nonprofits and beyond — are welcome to be a part of the burgeoning Innovation District. The district is a space to create, refine and validate disruptive ideas for improving health locally with the potential for national impact.
