About
Dory Thompson is an assistant director of administration within the Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care at Dell Medical School. Within the department, Thompson is focused on departmental strategic planning, recruitment, onboarding and appointment and promotion of faculty. She also manages the department’s leadership groups and administrative personnel.
Outside the department, Thompson is a member of the UT Staff Council and is the incoming chair of the council’s Health and Wellness Committee. Thompson enjoys working on the UT Staff Council and representing Dell Med to the rest of the university. Outside of work, Thompson enjoys exploring the world with her family and partaking in all the outdoor activities Austin has to offer.
