Esteban Desantiago

About

Esteban Desantiago is an executive assistant in the Department of Pediatrics. In this role, he provides high-level administrative, project management and operational support.

Desantiago has worked at The University of Texas at Austin since 2015 and previously oversaw the coordination and execution of alumni, donor and special events for the School of Architecture.

Desantiago began honing his organizational and events production skills while he was in college when he began volunteering with Preservation Austin, assisting with receptions, film screenings and the annual homes tour. He previously worked as a scheduler for a local member of Congress and as an executive assistant at Texas CASA, a statewide nonprofit that advocates for effective public policy for children in the child protection system.

Desantiago holds a Bachelor of Arts with honors in government and Latin American studies from The University of Texas at Austin. Outside of the office, he enjoys traveling, staying informed about current events and running around Lady Bird Lake.
