About

Ashley Trust, M.D., focuses on health equity, mental health and psychiatric care in homeless populations for her clinical and educational work.

Trust went to college at The University of Texas at Austin. She received her medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, and she completed her psychiatry residency at Dell Med. She currently serves as lead psychiatrist for Integral Care’s housing and homeless services, where she primarily cares for individuals experiencing homelessness. She works at an integrated care clinic at the Terrace at Oak Springs, a permanent supportive housing complex in East Austin. Her practice focuses on treating those with severe mental illness, substance use disorders and trauma while also recognizing and addressing the impact of social determinants of health.

Trust also serves as a consultant for the Travis County Medical Society health equity committee and recently co-chaired housing workgroups for the Austin State Hospital redesign project, psychiatric services stakeholders committee and mental health evaluation workgroup group for the Travis County Forensic Mental Health Project.
